The last one (Atlantis) launches in about 10 mins...
Live here: http://www.nasa.gov/multimedia/n…
I'm feeling a bit nostalgic for when I was a kid... :( I remember watching the first one launch in 1980 - one of my first memories as a kid... then of course when Challenger was lost in '86...
... like a lot of boys in my class - we all painted and drew pictures of the space shuttle... had all the lego shit... etc etc.
A lot of inspiration for the technology we use today (from life-saving tech to design / computer tech) came from this program.
Sad day. :(

This isn't the last shuttle flight.
It's the last trip up for the "Atlantis" shuttle.- I thought this was it... Atlantis was the last of the missions... :(
Sorry if I was wrong... it's still cool to watch! :DPonyBoy - No, this is "Atlantis's" last flight, but there are only 2 more flights left I think - it IS cool.
No problem, mate.ghandolf - ohh okbigtrickagain

For Shuttle and Space Station Fly Over sighting opportunities, there is a calculator here. When it fly;s overhead, it appears like a fast moving star.

Freddie McWoozy and cnaps1970 are at church,
praying hard for the Shuttle Atlantis to exploid.
