My sister gave me this tape when I was in 8th grade I think. I was not yet playing guitar, but this album was the one that made me say "wow, guitars can be huge and distorted and you can hear the notes and chords perfectly." It really blew me away and definitely had as much to do with my guitar playing style as anything else has.

I abandoned rap a few years later. Then I went through a... "phase":
And then grunge hit. I was never a huge Nirvana fan but I liked them. No individual album for this time, because it was all about the mix tape.
Then in college the Bristol scene got me:
