Need Londoner who knows CSS

I'm really struggling to learn HTML and CSS. I don't want to use fireworks and dreamweaver to create stuff, I wanna learn to straight-up code. Thing is, at the moment, everything I try just doesn't bloody work, even though I've done everything the tutorial tells me to do. I need some help getting the basics down, then I'll be able to learn on my own. I've tried looking at source code, but everything I see is just too advanced. I just wan to to make a simple interface with the odd list and maybe a table.
Anyone in London fancy letting me pop over with my laptop for a few sessions? How much would you charge? I don't need a hardcore developer, just someone who knows a bit more than me, and it's not like your doing hardcore work for a client. You can cook, eat, drink, even get on with your own shit.. I just need some guidance and more importantly to be told what I'm doing wrong from time to time.. so I don't think a full freelance rate's necessary.
