- I'm v.close to buying a Switch - 1st console for years. I love Nintendo stuff. Just reading that this may (and I stress may) be coming to Switch. If it doesfadein11
- my mind is made up.fadein11
- i highly doubt this is coming to the switchCygnusZero4
- rumours it is but not yet and obviously not looking like that.fadein11

new job will put me on a train for an hour and a half a day.
guess i should keep an eye out for a switch :)

Good luck, the Switch is selling like hotcakes. The console has so much potential for some really creative games and interactions its standard gyroscope, accelerometer, infrared motion sensor, HD rumble, 5-point touchscreen, 2 thumbsticks, detachable joycons and the fact that it's portable. Hopefully the developers start making use of these features rather than just porting last year's Call of Duty. I'd love to see a new WarioWare game for it.
- Have you got one? Is it too big to slip into one of those Cardboard-like VR headmount things?Nairn

- Cool. Can't wait until they abandon it for a new console. ; )dopepope
- whoa, switch VR. awesomescarabin
- Tell me. What game was made better with gyroscope? forcing devs to make games that used the touchscreen is what ruined the vita.err
- I just want good games I can play on a plane and games I can play in small chunks throughout my day.err
- err, this game was all about the gyroscope and it was awesome:
https://www.youtube.…Milan - that's the only example i know of though. :)Milan
- Switch screen resolution is too low for worthwhile VR - along with the grunt needed to run it at a worthwhile framerate.face_melter
- Surely it's more powerful than my Nexus 5 which offers a passable but not omgawesome VR experience?detritus
- It is, but there's a huge difference between passive phone VR and dynamic VR games with tracking. Drop below a certain frame # and people start throwing up.face_melter
- Oh sure, I don't for a second imagine Cardboardesque Switch VR would compare with 'real' kit - more as a plaything.detritus
- Gyroscrope / Accellerometer based games are usually shit. Remember Wii? Joysticks + buttons 4 life.section_014
- The bow aiming in Zelda BOTW using motion controls works really well. I preferred it to using joysticks. But the tilt-a-maze controls in shrines were utter shitMilan

So i ran into a switch at a local walmart , was not expecting it , I ask for it they say ok it is out last one . A second later I realize I do not have my wallet. I ask her to hold it , she says "we are not allowed to do that sorry"
I live 5 mins away clocked it at 15 min round trip to apt and back. Ok sure why not if I come back and it is gone no big deal.I was not even expecting to buy one for about 9 months.
I come back , yea i sped walked and it was still there.
It is a beaute of technology , the thing I like the most is the control. The two pieces being wireless you are no longer contraint to a feel or grip. Easier on the hands for long hour seasions.
Naturally I got the Zelda , Ill post things on IG @electriccitygaming

Out of interest, of all the Switch owners here, how have you found yourself playing it the most? Handheld or docked?
I think I've prob spent about 80% of my time using it handheld so far...which I didn't think I would when I got it.
- Handheld, just because I like to have news or sports on the tv while im playing. Ive always preferred handhelds to consoles.CygnusZero4
- Handheld.duckseason
- docked - i like the joy con comfort gripdigitdaily
- same, handheld 80% of the time. best screen nintendo ever releasedMilan
- I would say 65% handheldBattleAxe

Typical nintendo, I hate the friends list on the Switch. Why is it even there? Cant do anything in it. Cant message anyone.
They built in this screenshot feature. Ok, great, now let me do something with them! I shouldnt have to download them from my sd card to my computer, then send them.

Im enjoying the hell out of mario kart though. The game is selling like crazy. Fastest selling MK ever I read. It really pays to be early launch games for these systems since theres not much else for people to buy. Like nearly 100% attach rate for Zelda and Mario Kart.

It's funny how nobody talks about Nintendo platform sales figures when they're exceeding all expectations, but the first misstep and it's "Nintendo should just get out of the game industry, sell Zelda to Microsoft, put Mario on iPhones, blah blah doooooom".
- Who says that? Nintendo is generally a well received brand even in times when they only had the wii. People love the Switch and ppl are circlejerking about it.mekk
- They are exceeding expectations at the moment, even their own, and everyone's talking about it.monospaced
- They did put Mario on iPhones too.monospaced
- God you lot ha - he made a valid pointfadein11
- I've said it in the past when I've worried that Nintendo might go all post-Dreamcast Sega and implode into irrelevancy. It's out of love.detritus
- I don't even have one; I'm waiting until Autumn to buy because that's when big games come out and the availability will increase. I'm prob. not alone either.monospaced
- Hopefully by the Holiday season they'll work out some kinks and the 3rd party games will start hitting shelves. Expect a surge through the Winter.monospaced

I love the switch, but its been out for 2 months lol. Even the Wii U sold really well at launch. Lets see if it still has sustained sales this time next year.
Nintendos biggest obstacle from keeping their systems from having sustained sales... no 3rd party support, and right now the Switch looks to be no different. No games coming out for it. Just 1 or 2 here and there.
- They announced a couple months ago that about 100 games are currently in development with 3rd parties, and support is higher than with Wii U.monospaced
- with the sales it's having I guess the 3rd party support will come, btw I don't understand why you get downvotedernexbcn
- btw it's been sold out for like a month hereernexbcn
- the hardware is awesome it's selling well, so I don't see a reason why 3rd party developers wouldn't jump on the cash bandwagonMilan
- switch will be fine - it will see all major indie and iOS/android games as well.inteliboy
- Whats the deal with the downvotes?Fabricio

So I built a PC recently. Last one I built was back when Half-Life 2 came out, so imagine. I wanted something I could boot on macOS or Windows and it's been working out great.
Bought this game yesterday after hearing all the hype, it's fun! you enter this gigantic map of 8 square kilometers with 99 other players and you have to find gear and weapons and try to be the last man standing (or team). You need to be inside this circle that keeps shrinking on the map. Here's a vid, the game is called PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUND it's on early access on Steam since the game is still on active development.
- i have never had a game give me an adrenaline rush. this game is beyond good but best with friends.klar
