After having a year long hard-on for NMS, I'm gonna pass. I've watched endless youtubes of this game, and everyone's hate seems to be spot on. Which sux.
They should change the algo for procedural animals, because everyone seems to be getting the "derpasaurus" seen a few posts back.
I mean, I'm all about pointless survival games, but not for 60 bucks.
- I'm with you but no matter where you stand I think this is the only game to have garnered nearly a full page of posts to a single title.SteveJobs
- I'll buy it when it's half priced and, more importantly, when I have a PC at home that can play games well. *grumbles*detritus
- i'm still looking forward to it - just not for £40 though.detritus
- no harm in waiting a few months and buying it cheap!ernexbcn
- I agree that the game was overhyped, a mix between the devs and the crazy fansernexbcn

Any PS4 players here? I'm a noob, what good multiplayer games do you reccomend? Gamer tag is White_Cheeks_

@WhiteFace search for Titanfall 2 Tech Test at the store, this is the last weekend it will be playable until the game releases
- Continuity1
- And for anyone who remembers, Homeworld and Homeworld 2 (awesome sci-fi RTS series) drew heavy inspiration from this series.Continuity
- Oh my god - 3 down - had that book as a kid and loved it.fadein11
- I used to borrow all of them routinely from my local library ... I can still remember the smell of them. Happy days!Continuity
- I am trying to work out how old I was when I loved these - what year were they popular - can you remember?fadein11
- As I recall, the late 70s ... I *think*. They were probably riding on the back of Star Wars's success. What I do remember is discovering them in the early 80s.Continuity
- It was a good guess. Wiki says: '[...] four large illustrated science fiction books published between 1978 and 1980.'Continuity
- yep - thought so - I was v.young but defo loved them because of Star Wars as well although nothing like it. Thanks for sharing - taken me right back. Thatfadein11
- middle one was like an obsession ha which I had totally forgotten about.fadein11
- Spacewreck one.fadein11

Anyone still play League of Legends? I just started. Been playing Vainglory for about a year. Found I really like MOBA games. Heroes of the Storm sounds good too

- Vainglory give so of the satisfaction of a MOBA but to the same reward as league.BabySnakes

Steam is offering No Man's Sky refunds regardless of playtime
https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansS…
Damn son.
- Even PlayStation is giving refunds on PSN, that's badernexbcn
- http://imgur.com/a/C…cannonball1978
- Why?Hayoth
- Because it isn't a complete game.monospaced
- ^ entirely subjective. Please define a 'complete game'. And don't include balls like multiplayer - I don't care if a title has mp or not.face_melter
- I think it's one of the best titles I have played in a long, long, time. Tired of over-saturated 'AAA' muck like The Division, Destiny, CoD, BF etc. Fuck em allface_melter
- The only problem with the game is the price. It should be between 20-40$ not full price.elektro
- yes it's entirely subjective, and from the point of Steam and Sony, it's so fucking disappointing they're giving full refunds beyond normal limitsmonospaced
- elektro is right on the money. If the game was $19.99, people would be less angry (probably).section_014
- Kerbal Space Program is $40 and it is way more complicated to play, often has shitty frame rate and a UI clearly designed for PC not consoleselektro
- One could argue that Myst wasn't a complete game either, given its pace and apparent lack of objective.Continuity

After giving up on bloodborne for a while as I was constantly getting my ass handed to me, I recently picked it up again. I managed to get past the second stage and level up my character some, and now I understand the hype. What a kick ass game.
- Good for you. Tough it out. Shit gets crazy.DRIFTMONKEY
- I need to do this too...mekk
- It gets so satisfyingrobotinc

Abandoned no mans sky. Game fucking sucks, if you even want to call it a game. I think I put something like 8 or 10 hours into it on the pc and totally lost interest. Theres no goal.
Moved on to lego force awakens. Its actually not terrible. the gameplay isnt bad. They pretty much stick to the script of the movie. I kind of expected them to go off script and joke around more, mock parts of the movie which would be funny but maybe they werent allowed to. Still fun though.

Man, I've really been having the urge to play a shooter. I has a big COD player on xbox360.
Whats good out there now, worth snagging a system now or are they on their way out.
Also, whats all this noise over that No Mans Sky?
- uncharted 4 on ps4 is fun, both single and multiMilan
- Ive been considering a PS4 over xbox, did they get their multiplay stuff figured out. I remember it not being great, compared to xbox livesofakingback
- If you want a classic shooter like in the good 'ol days, play the new Doom or Wolfenstein: The New Order / The Old Bloodmekk
- Overwatchelektro
- Overwatch. Although the learning curve can be frustrating at first.DRIFTMONKEY
- wish my computer was good enough for overwatchjaylarson
- ya, playstation multiplayer is now pretty much the same as xbox liveMilan
- ^ how have they been different before?mekk
- ps3 didn't have party chat, only 1 on 1. and the game developers had to build all of the network features themselvesMilan
- it sucked. thats how it was different lol.sofakingback

Not sure which thread to drop this, I guess this one.
This video took 250+ hours of total recording time (~20 hours for the final rendering), almost one year to produce, and years of ᴇsᴏᴛᴇʀɪᴄ knowledge of a variety of Minecraft mods, especially the GLSL Shaders Mod.

Battlefield 1 Open Beta starts tomorrow, keys are being sent out. Preload is a thing.
I was totally hyped for that game the recent development got me thinking.. Hero Pickups (they were utter shit in Battlefront), OP Horses, Fundamental changes on the revive system that makes it impossible to be a good medic in a shit team.
130€ for Premium. I see a 6 or 7/10 coming here for me. Am a bit disappointed because it looked so so promising and good in the beginning.

BF1 is avaible for BF1 inside subscripers. Played it. It sucks - just a Star Wars Battlefront reskin. Meh.
- *Subscribersmekk
- got the email in the morning, didn't had time to play with it :(sted
- more like Battlefront is a BF reskin am I right? the game's good don't be a haterernexbcn
- do the guns feel old? I'm a sucker for bolt action, circa COD 2.DRIFTMONKEY

@robotinc Bloodborne is goddamn amazing, well worth picking a PS4 just for that game imo.
- It's easy to give up if you never played a Souls game because the opening is brutal, but is a game that rewards you if you give it a chanceernexbcn
- I really like how well balanced it is. When I die its always my timing, or me pushing my luck, not the controls sucking or some shitty glitchrobotinc
- @ernexbcn. Confirmed. Purchased PS4 for Bloodborne. Worth it. Once you hit the half way point, and Lovecraft starts face-raping you, it goes to 11! Co op is funDRIFTMONKEY
- The Souls-esque elements of Bloodborne work really well here, while still feeling unique: punishing gameplay, interesting bosses, plenty of sneakrets, lonlinessDRIFTMONKEY
- I need to pick it up again, got incredibly frustrated after dying 12 million times.ben_

- terrible controls and hit detectionsince1979
- Well, it was made over a long weekend :)

@ernexbcn, @DRIFTMONKEY, yeah the game is good but I don't think it will get the same playerbase as BF3 or 4. It has really been dumbed down in many cases. Spotting feels off, no markers overall etc. If you're in a plane you can't see shit on the ground. Medic class is useless because if the new spawn system: You don't see who can be revived, player just focus on respawning quickly and skip the revive.
BF1 has a lot of gameplay issues that have been long solved in 3 and 4 and were present in Battlefront. I can totally understand the direction that DICE is going with this release, make it more accessible, make it a fun game for a few rounds after work. But right now the game totally misses the teamplay/tactics part. It's just a TDM. Hero Pickups are unbalanced, too.
Its a fun game but not nearly as deep as the previous titles. Feels very short term..
