Like of lot you guys I've just about had enough of seeing this thingIt's only when you're busy doing something that you tend to forget to save as often as you should, and without warning Photoshop will throw a fit and close.
So now I run PS SAVE whenever I'm working in photoshop. Every 10 minutes a dialogue box will pop up asking if you need to save, just click yes and everything is taken care of.
I've found it invaluable. It's only when you've lost a good 2 or 3 hours work that you'll start looking for solutions like this so I hope this helps somebody out.
Download the zip file

definitely not trying to do the mac vs. pc thing, but photoshop on pc has crashed only about 5 times on me since i started using it around 1998. one of the most stable programs i've ever used. macs tend to crash less in general, so did adobe just get sloppy on photoshop or something?

I have been running PS on my Mac every single day for years and I have never had a freeze or a crash. Yet, it's probably because I purchased my copy instead of stealing it.
