I want to make a logo spin. something like this
ok I just need to make it rotate about 30 degrees and back again, not spin... but anyway, how the hell? I thought it'd be so simple.. but obviously just squishing it wont look good.. i need to give it a little perspective.. which is of course greyed out. Bit of a brick wall there.. anyone know a workaround?

CS4 has 3D rotation, if you can't use that then its time to open after effects or do it by hand because older Flash doesn't do perspective distortion

take a square 100px X 100px.
animate it getting thinner 100% to 25%.
at 25% skew up 10˚.duplicate this layer but at 25% keyframe skew down 10˚.
now create a mask for each of the both layers. but, the mask is on 50px high. you'll then have two haves of a square that animates into a perspective.
now replace graphic in square with your logo and hope for the best.

do it in after effects and export as swf
stick the logo on a 3d layer and spin it around

There is a way to do it in Flash without CS4's perspective.
It's basically the same process as the video below shows but much more tedious. He's basically doing one frame. To make an animation, you'd need to make all of the frames. Tedious but possible.
