I am finding that the level of indecision on both really petty design and development issues has increased ten fold since the economy took a dump.
The amount of time non technical / non design personnel labor over the smallest insignificant suggestions/changes has gone through the roof.
"I'd like to see that with a .0005 change in opacity please."
Oh, Yeah!!! That really pops now!!!
Inspired by a comment vaxorcist makes in the "reduced salary thread"

Most indecision is due to displaced anxiety.... People get nervous..... part of our job is to find out how to gain their confidence, it's a little bit harder these days, but it's always been important....

my last job was - "ok, i love this concept but i'd like to see 5 versions of the nav. 5 of the center content well, 5 headers, 5 left nav and 5 right content well. then, when you send it back to me i want to be able to pick the ones i like the best. this will be great because then we can just reuse all the elements on other projects."
i replied with a link to templatemonster.com. looking back that might have been one of the reasons i was let go but fuck, it was such a waste of time and energy.

Indecision yes/no about doing a project is not bad, in fact I welcome it because it means they take their obligation to pay you seriously.
Indecision that shows in the endless asking for revisions is often due to:
1. ADD.... seriously, an inability to focus causes problems
2. designer/developer not getting business goals and target audience and approval stakeholders clearly agreed upon at the beginning of the project....
3. people being nervous, buyers remorse, feeling they'd bought a caddilac when they could only afford a smaller car...
4. a client who isn't worth it but you need the money?!? a situation I'm trying to avoid very carefully....
5. Inability to previsualize what the end product might be like, and/or inability to trust designer/developer, see number 2 and 3...
