I agree, he was always respected I just don't think he was never one of the "cool kids" so you didn't hear his name as much.

Fuck that. Stacy Vickers had it all over that twerp.

i don't know him personally, but i generally respect my fellow human being.
so there you go, restecp.

not underrated at all. any skater worth his salt knows he invented half the flip tricks people use these days.

awesome skater by no means underrated... thanks for the reminder though, he is a legend!

He's a legend. I agree he was never in the cool crowd though, when I used to skate Muska was the king of cool.
- likewise. the shorty's team was the cool kids. Boomboxes and tattoos...baseline_shift

Yeah, you're a little off with the "underrated" comment. Anyone who really knows skating knows that he's responsible more than anyone else in some ways for the progression from the 80s era street skating to what we have now. People used to laugh at freestyle back then - and look at the influence it has on modern skating now. Half the tricks people do now wouldn't exist if freestyle hadn't existed.
He's just not talked about much because he's not really skating anymore. He's not in videos, he's more on the business end of it now.

He's my favorite skater. I was reading about him recently and was surprised to see how many tricks he invented that are standards today. I would think most people who really know skateboarding know how talented and influential he is. I think it's great that he is still skating professionally too.

I like that his style is so technical that he doesn't have to be super insane to be impressive. I love the unique street adapted freestyle.

I alway imagine he's like Rain Man on a skate board. He can really express himself with a skateboard, have lot's of fun, and do it perfectly – every time.

i never underrated him
- he always had the gift, but he wasn't into or good at PR like most of the goofballs leading the circuits,,,robotron3k
