I generally do 1 page ads and fold out brochures. However, I'm going to be doing a 30 page catalog and have a question about guides with InDesign.
Aside from creating a document as a template to include in a book or copying and pasting the guides each time I duplicate a page or spread, is there a way to create a new page within a document that has the guides in place already.
Yeah, I know, copy and paste is easy. I'm just wondering if there's a way to duplicate a page with the guides already in place.

Master pages? Is that what you're asking about?
You can set page masters that include common elements such as auto-numbering and margins / columns, etc.

to master indesign you must first begin by creating master pages. this is the godly thing to do.

Yes, master pages. I created a master page organically, but I didn't apply it correctly, so it didn't work. Doh! Thanks!!
- I meant originally. lol!!! Why did I type organically?section_014

Create your master pages and then apply them to your actual pages as needed. Masters can be a single page, a spread, or multiple pages btw.

I like to create a page and option-drag it within the page palette to duplicate it. Just the way I do things.
