I was wondering if anyone knows of any US companies or schools that have switched to ISO paper sizes for their publications, postcards, ads, marketing materials etc.
I was trying research this as I am in the beginning stages of designing a new grid system and standards for all of our publications.
Metric seems much more efficient, and easier to re-use basic layout elements.
I fear great push-back from our in-house printing (which are often difficult to deal with anyway, especially if they had to learn something new), so I was hoping to see if this has been successfully implemented elsewhere... or should I even attempt such a thing in the Midwest of America.

if it's not common in your area - would that make it more expensive?

^ good question - That would be one for our inhouse printer, but if I asked them, they would probably say "yes" without even thinking about it so they can try and put a halt to any change.
My view is, we can get paper cut to about any size before it's shipped. An A2 is close to what our main press usually runs (within ~ 2"). That's definitely something to research before I design anything though.
