great fun film.
I feel good, and I’m not scared at all. I just feel kind of... kind of invincible... Is it getting hot in here, or is it just me?

I saw this when it was originally out at the cinema, i was young so it mustve been a PG rated.
It was a great film but I remember being shocked with all the swearing in it lol. Probably one of the first films id seen with my parents so ladened with swear words. The last time it was on tv (few months ago) was the first time I realised it was a John Carpenter film.
Classic likes

Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it."

It makes no sense and that is why it is perfect.

One of the first movies I remember really loving independent from being dragged to the movies by my folks if that makes any sense

"When some wild-eyed, eight-foot-tall maniac grabs your neck, taps the back of your favorite head up against the barroom wall, and he looks you crooked in the eye and he asks,
"You if ya paid your dues?"
You just stare that big sucker right back in the eye, and you remember what ol' Jack Burton always says at a time like that:
"Have I paid ma' dues, Jack?"
"Yessir, the check's in the mail."

The funny thing about this movie with me is that I only liked when the 3 "super" gods came down in front of the rig and showed their "powers". Must have rewound it and watched that part 96 times when I was a kid.
I did the same for the "triple linding" in Back to School. However, I like that entire movie.
