just a select few from the NYC trip.
we had an amazing time, and even though its very similar to London, the people are far more friendly.
the rain mucked our daily plans up on the first day, so the wife got a bit flustered and annoyed as she likes to go by lists etc.
standing for 5 hours in the rain just to watch a tree's light get switched on was the only low point for me!
- how much $$ for the chopper ride?Ramanisky2
- $180 each i think, for 15 minutes.cruddlebub
- when does the 15mins start? because preflight takes 10 minsfuturefood

- 15mins in the air...cruddlebub
- Impossible to stick to to-do lists when in NY. You always either spend too long at things or get distracted by other things along the way.microkorg
- Best thing to do is just enjoy the things you REALLY want to see. Then for everything else ... just go back there again ;) (and again)microkorg
- Great pics, are these from your honeymoon trip? What lens did you use for the sunset over Manhattan shots?utopian
- @microkorg: yeah, by the friday we realized we should of just done everything on the fly. we needed at least 2 weeks and $100,000cruddlebub
- @utopian: yeah these are from our honeymoon trip... i used the 16mm f1.4 for all these shots.cruddlebub
- reminds me of my heli flight there, 2 weeks prior to 9/11.SimonFFM

- I've not had internet at home since late September, so haven't been posting much. I get new service tomorrow though!mg33
- @mg33: Maybe it'd be worth creating a dedicated/official EB thread here to collect and curate shots. I've got a few I'd be happy to share, too, there.Continuity
- @continuity - are you on IG? If so feel free to tag shots to @expeditionbureau. I do a daily feature on IG.mg33
- Will do, mate. If you want to connect, my user name is pbd1010Continuity

Ditched the family last Sunday and drove out to the mountains. It was really cold that day, so my shooting was basically: drive, see something kinda nice, pull over and stop, hop out with the camera and shoot, get back in the truck in less than 60 seconds, continue driving.
It was about -20˙C when I was out, and there was huge clouds of steam coming off the lake.- wow!! stunning... these are the type of pictures i'd love to take...cruddlebub
- Thanks. I have very mixed feelings about them. I don't feel like I benefited from rushing so much. I need to take more time with composition.noneck
- you had little time to shoot to be honest. -20c is not a cameras friend.cruddlebub
- Where?ArmandoEstrada
- These were around Abraham Lake, AB; and the northern tip of Banff National Park.noneck
