Should I go with hard lines or soft jaggedy lines to illustrate?

Is this just a cover? You don't already have a style that they hired you for?
- mia_free0
I just make a style up.

Do not use soft jaggedy lines! This always looks amateurish. You can let your lines be loose and energetic, but jaggedy is BAD.
Do you have examples of the two styles your are considering? It'd make it easier to offer advice.

I prefer my lines soft and powdery.

you're already thinking about it too much. fail.
