Some troubled teens are embedding nails, paper clips, bits of rock, glass and even crayons in their bodies as a way to cope with disturbing thoughts and feelings, U.S. researchers said.

My sister works with these kids a lot. And it's incredible how factors you would imagine, ie. socioeconomics, divorced parents, etc. don't play into this at all.

Poor troubled teens... *sniffle*
When Howard Hughes died, it was discovered that his arm was full of broken off hypodermic needles from his morphine habit. He had actual mind-bending pain going on from surviving a couple of plane crashes, rather than "disturbing thoughts and feelings."

I new someone would post that YouTube! video. Howard Hughes, I think became addicted to morphine, due to his severe mental and physical illnesses.
Maybe I should try some, eh?
- His back was all effed up from the plane crashes, but he refused to give up running his empire.dog_opus
- You gots all the illnesses you need, my friendlocustsloth

"We identified a group of 10 patients" 10 patients does not = teenagers
also "It is often kept secret," - what kind of journalism is this?
