    Argh,

    so i moved out of my old company about 3 months ago and a design/build I was working on was taken over by someone else at the build stage.

    I was quite proud of the design until I heard how it was going and looked at the source code... i raised the flag. that was 2 months ago... now its live and its terrible...

    Im having trouble dealing with it, should i seek consultation?

    You moved on! You didn't want to be in that relationship and now you're not happy about what your ex is doing? Well, fuck you, you sanctimonious bastard! If they want to fuck up now that you've left them in the lurch, they can. If you really cared about them and what they were doing you would have stayed with them but no. You had to go seek your pleasures elsewhere.

    I bet you even told them you'd always be friends and you haven't talked to them since.

    :D

    • yeah im still friends with all of them actually. xD

    Dude you don't work there anymore so what if the source code in the project is wrong or bad? A lot of my designs and builds have been destroyed by inbred freaks many times but it's part of the job.

    Unless you are on the design 24/7 people will always try to add shitty JS code they found on some lame site together with some free clipart style animated gifs.

    • ha, funny you should say that, a recent termination of contract happend because

    I know what you mean... I had a similar experience - I designed a web page and coded it in valid XHTML. In it there was a list with markup like this:

    <ul>
    <li>List item 1 here</li>
    <li>List item 2 here</li>
    </ul>

    Once complete, handed the work over to the developer to implement and guess what came out:

    <table>
    <tr><td><li>List item 1 here</li></td></tr>
    <tr><td><li>List item 2 here</li></td></tr>
    </table>

    I was like wtf?! and very nearly lost it, as it broke the CSS for it, made the code invalid and also made it impossible to style/tweak down the track. I thought this was pretty basic stuff and the developer should have known this... To date it still hasn't been fixed despite raising the flag on it.
