WORST WORLD SERIES EVER! Also received the worst ratings. The World Series will be on Cable soon and the general public, outside of the larger areas will not give a heap of crap about it. Sorry to say it. It's the way it's managed. Blame Bud Selig, the prick.

worst world series ever? are you serious? this has to be one of the most memorable world series. the weather created a situation that never happened in the history of the game.
last years world series was pathetic. rockies redsox was a snore fest. this series was filled with drama and the games were very competitive. what else can you ask for?

The quick gist of the partying last night. People that grew up in Philadelphia partied in their neighborhood. The people that grew up in Jersey or took the Patco in, partied in Center City.
Seriously, who parties in Center City? South Phila or NEP FTW.

Since I'm working on a book about baseball, I'll respond. But players represent just about every country where baseball is being played. If other countries would get on the boat it would be even more of a World Series.
Also the name comes from a time when everything needed to be as grand as possible. Why change it now?
There is a World Baseball Classic being played next year. But I doubt Poland or Somalia will be putting a team on the field.

I like how all the "Philly" people say they are from Philadelphia, but they actually live in the middle of nowhere Bucks County, etc. The entire downtown is just a giant ghetto, with dirtbag NJ people close by. How many of my friends from U of Pitt were "Philly" people. LOL!

Seriously? You are going to throw stones from Pittsburgh at a city like Philadelphia? And of all the places you are going to trash is Center City? Center City Philadelphia is one of the nicest metropolis areas of all of the country. Just recently won awards regarding Rittenhouse Square, South Street, and Society Hill for public and private spaces.
Pittsburgh's latest news? How the city could technically run out of cash due to it's massive debts and spending v. repaying. And yet you still Obama is the wrong guy for you and your city.
