One of the best shows ever. Just got seasons 1-3 on DVD in my mailbox....

This always makes me laugh and cry at the same time:

I also loved this show. It was mandatory viewing at the house of a girl I was hot for. She was the ex of one of my friends so it went nowhere. She’s a junkie now… Good show, though.

No, what I’m saying is that there were plenty of warning signs that she wasn’t right for me (but plenty of signals that I wouldn’t be barking up the wrong tree) which I somehow managed to pick up on. But I got to see a great TV series which also has nostalgic memories of post-teen infatuation permanently attached to it.
You know, just little memories of things – her sitting cross-legged in front of me in a short skirt, touching her foot while she slept (knowing that she wasn’t asleep, and knowing she knew I knew she wasn’t)…

Clearly, I’ve said too much.

You see, I was trying to get some of that “Chris in the Morning” radio vibe in my second-to-last post. Seems I failed. But what I said was all true.

The conclusion is that there are sweet memories of what was and what may have been, but that collides with the reality of who she became. Could I have changed that? (doubtful). Would I have ended up going the same way? (also doubtful). There is a real sense of destiny in the whole scenario for me.
