Whoa, I'm not sure I've even seen that before (it's so gosh-darned secret).

Just had a quick ..er.. spy around and I can't find it, I'm afraid.

It's the standard Royal Crest design, but the finish is quite unique - I'm not sure what you can do.

    • I considered a hi-res photo of a pound coin, but there aren't many good examples out there. Not sure a scan wouldNairn1/9
work either, given the light conditions. Also, I don't appear to have any pound coins around, gipsy that I am.Nairn2/9
K, just found some coins - four welsh ones (no crest) and (unbelievably) one from 1983 - I didn't even think we hadNairn3/9
pound coins back then - I thought they were still notes. Well I never!Nairn4/9
so where are they you wanker!?OSFA5/9
Well, there's no point scanning the one from '83 - the details worn down and it's filthy. Besides, it's too late to ..Nairn6/9
.. start dicking around with macro settings I barely understand on the SLR and lighting.Nairn7/9
I've emailed you a scan of my scrotum instead - I hope that will suffice.Nairn8/9
      can't get Royal-er than that my friend!!OSFA9/9

The Royal Crest is used for all sorts of stuff, Government affiliations and London Boroughs, I think they even have it on ketchup bottles?

The Royal College of Art feature it in all their material (the 2D version, not the gold/3D finish), they're bound to have something useful on the internet. I have a dodgy scan of it knocking around somewhere...

I did have a scoot around for the vector last night, but couldn't find it.

I'm tempted to suggest it might be very hard to come by, for reasons of official-restriction, but I know that as soon as I say it, some oober will come along and post it.

    *tempts fate*

Yup i think there would be a tight leash on who gets ahold of that vector as it is the royal seal of approval.

you can grab the crest as vector from one of these pdf´s, livetracing or rebuilding the textpart should be easy enough.

though it looks to me like they produced a 3D version for the official logo, with all that beveling/highlights/specular...
