What kind of wood is used in audio equipment?
These are a couple that look vaguely relevant that I found from typing 'wood texture' in google image search..

I'm pretty busy now, but this might help... many amps and speaker cabinets have a tolex covering, which can take many forms but usually looks something like this:
As far as natural finish woods, mahogany or quilted/flamed/birdseye maple are very common.
You can probably find most of these on google, the above links, or quite often on manufacturer websites (they like to sell their custom coverings so they often show off texture samples).
