Trump: 'Nobody knew that healthcare could be so complicated'

President Trump said Monday that "nobody knew that healthcare could be so complicated," as Republicans have been slow to unite around a replacement plan for ObamaCare.

"I have to tell you, it's an unbelievably complex subject," Trump said after a meeting with conservative governors at the White House.

A Georgia man and woman cried in court Monday after they were both sentenced to long prison terms for terrorizing a black child’s birthday party with Confederate flags, racial slurs and threats.

Pro-Trump town riled up after immigration officials arrest popular restaurant manager

Letters of support for Juan Carlos Hernandez Pacheco have poured in from West Frankfort's mayor, police chief, high school athletic director and the county prosecutor. They describe Hernandez as a role model and praise his robust civil involvement, including funding school scholarships, benefit dinners for families in need and hosting a law enforcement appreciation event.

Hernandez, 38, came to the U.S. in the 1990s but didn't obtain legal status, according to friends. He has been the manager of La Fiesta Mexican Restaurant for a decade in the community with coal mining roots, about 100 miles southeast of St. Louis.

He was arrested at his home earlier this month and remains in custody at a U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement facility outside St. Louis. ICE officials did not explain why Pacheco was arrested, but noted his drunken-driving convictions from 2007.

Suspected German Islamist used to be a neo-Nazi

A suspected German Islamist, arrested last week for planning a terrorist attack, reportedly used to post hate-speech online against Muslims.

In the YouTube videos, Sascha L said German civilisation was "dying a creeping death" and said Muslims were trying to introduce Sharia - Islamic religious law - in the country.

But it appears that Sascha L. converted to Islam some time in 2014, when he faced a court charged with spreading "Islamic State" messages online.

Sascha L. was arrested on February 21 on suspicion of planning a terrorist act and storing "items and chemicals" for manufacturing explosives. "The accused belongs to the Salafist scene," a state prosecutor's statement said, referring to the conservative Islamic movement. "During his first questioning, he admitted to planning to lure police officers or soldiers into a trap and then kill them with a home-made explosive."

De-radicalization experts say switching extremist movements is not uncommon.

Scary twitter thread on Team Trump https://twitter.com/peterdaou/st…

  • set-4

There is an Article in a big german Newspaper (Der Tagesspiegel) already questioning if there will be an open war between the Trump Administration and the Deep State:

Droht in den USA ein Krieg zwischen der Regierung und dem "tiefen Staat"?

    The Article (in german):
    http://www.tagesspiegel.de/polit…

Lets compare how the Press is treating Donald Trump and how the Press treated the last President Obama. All the war crimes and crimes against humanity of Obama where treated as nothing happened, and now every word of Trump is laid on a golden scale? This alone should snap you out of your brainwash induced blind hatred for Trump and show you how obviously backed by the deep state run media Obama was, and how they now obviously want Trump out of power.

Here's just a small selections of what Obama did in his presidency, that the media didn't shout about. Yet they shout about a few actions, insignificant in comparison, about Trump and have the sheep completely brainwashed in to deep illogical hatred. Scary stuff.

Obama sent 3,500 U.S. troops and tanks to Russia's doorstep in one of his final decisions as president.

In 2016 alone Obama dropped 26,171 bombs (an average of 72 bombs every day).

Put boots on the ground in Syria , despite 16 times saying "no boots on the ground".

Despite campaign pledges, planned a $1 trillion progam to add more nuclear weapons to the US arsenal in the next 30 years.

Dropped bombs in 7 Muslim countries; and then bragged about it .

Said, “I believe in American exceptionalism with every fiber of my being.”

Bragged about his use of drones - I'm "really good at killing people".

    Deported a modern-record 2 million immigrants.

Signed the Monsanto Protection Act into law.

Started a new war in Iraq .

Initiated, and personally oversees a 'Secret Kill List'.

Pushed for war on Syria while siding with al-Qaeda .

    Backed neo-Nazis in Ukraine.

Supported Israel's wars and occupation of Palestine.

Deployed Special Ops to 134 countries - compared to 60 under Bush.

Did a TV commercial promoting "clean coal".

Drastically escalated the NSA spying program .

Signed the NDAA into law - making it legal to assassinate Americans w/o charge or trial.

Given Bush absolute immunity for everything.
Pushed for a TPP Trade Pact .

Started a new war on terror - this one on ISIS .

Signed more executive memoranda than any other president in history.

Transferred more than $100 billion in arms sales to Saudi Arabia, more than any other administration in history.

Signed an agreement for 7 military bases in Colombia .
Opened a military base in Chile.

Touted nuclear power , even after the disaster in Japan.

Opened up deepwater oil drilling, even after the BP disaster.

Mandated the Insider Threat Program which orders federal employees to report suspicious actions of their colleagues.

Defended body scans and pat-downs at airports.

Signed the Patriot Act extension into law.

Launched 20,000 Airstrikes in his first term.

    Continued Bush's rendition program.

Said the U.S. is the "one indispensable nation" in the world.

Waged war on Libya without congressional approval.

Started a covert, drone war in Yemen.

Escalated the proxy war in Somalia.

Escalated the CIA drone war in Pakistan.

Sharply escalated the war in Afghanistan.

Repealed the Propaganda ban, making it legal to spread government propaganda via news outlets.

Assassinated 4 US citizens with drone strikes.

    • Yet the mass hysteria against Trump is monumental. If you can't see how obvious the mind control program here is, then bad news for you - you're a victim of it.set

    • If Sarah Palin or Kanye West somehow got elected, don't you think the press would be pretty hard on them too?yuekit
    • Not because they are the one person bravely fighting the system, but just because they are idiots who a lot of people see as dangerous.yuekit
    • In other words the press and other groups being against Trump doesn't mean he's good or worth supporting.yuekit
    • You're also kind of ignoring the left/right divide in politics...the right wing media has been hugely pro Trump. Fox News is the biggest cable news channel inyuekit
    • As usual he makes some interesting points but shoots himself in the foot by presuming/saying everyone else is a moron. Sad!fadein11
    • the U.S., Drudge and Breitbart are some of the biggest sites, etc. All shilling pretty openly for Trump.yuekit
    • Aside form that MSM doesn't have the same influence it once didfadein11
    • @fadein I used the word moron in the following post, which you've just wholeheartedly agreed with so how exactly have I shot myself in the foot?set
    • "To assume that the direction of a super power and its leaders and its media are not governed and swayed behind the scenes is nothing short of moronic"set
    • Pray tellset
    • It's like you desperately want to disagree with me, but can't find anything to disagree with apart from my use of the word moron.set
    • ... But you've already agreed its moronic to hold the view I labelled moronic. So I guess you're going to have to sucks up your pride and just agree with me ;)set
    • Sucks it rights up.set
    • Like I said I find a lot of what you say interesting and I used to hold similar views (I do in some instances). Don't get worked up - others noted how youfadein11
    • condescend and label people here. Trust me I do not want to disagree with you for the sake of it and if you reread all of my comments you will realise that.fadein11
    • still do*

Don't be so quick to judge people here. The debate is about now - not Obama. And if you are not frightened by elements of Trump's admin you may be
      fadein11
    • the one who needs to question your view.fadein11
    • be questioning your views*

      oops.
      fadein11
    • I never said for a second that elements of Trump's administration aren't frightening.set
    • You all incorrectly assume I support Trump because I don't blindly join the illogical hate brigade.set
    • Problem with endlessly saying "but Obama" is that it detracts from the task at hand.
No probs though and hope you do know I don't disagree with you for the
      fadein11
    • sake of it. We had our beef and it's long gone for me. Like I say I find what you post interesting - just the tone could be better.fadein11
    • I'm talking about actions vs public opinion based on media influence. Which requires talking about Obama, dear chap.... it's the topic.set
    • Yep - I shouldn't have said that - my apologies.fadein11
    • No need :)set
    • oh yes, poor Trump, Obama had it do easy.inteliboy
    • *sointeliboy
    • If that's your simple minded, foolish take from this post then I genuinely feel sorry you.set

What are the chances Mango Mussolini mentions crowd sizes, electoral college votes, and the press to congress tonight?

    • LOL ... 'Mango Mussolini' ... that's a good one, I'll have to remember it. :DContinuity

quinn is so unbearable to listen to.

    • lol politicians grandstanding this non news issue.... cnn getting desperado.robotron3k
    • cnn trying so hard to manufacture this 'trumps shocking silence on anti-semitism' tropeGnash
    • Perhaps Trump could make a better, more adult effort to put this to rest then.monospaced
    • The guy seems more concerned with CROWD SIZES than Jewish Community Centers receiving bomb threats, or the violent hate crimes that have happened in recent daysmonospaced
    • It's a huge perception issue. Yes, I agree that CNN and other MSM networks are harking on it too much, but at the same time it's SERIOUSLY simple to end it.monospaced
    • At this point, they won't even acknowledge that there is an association.monospaced
    • according to mono, it's not a crime until someone dies. then again only retards answer to terrorists threats. Meanwhile Chicago crime wave still going on.omg
    • it's an issue because cnn is making it an issue, and suggesting to everyone that if you don't think it's an issue too, then you're are an anti-Semite as well.Gnash
    • oh look, omg spouting lies and nonsensemonospaced
    • Enough with their crap, their labels don't work anymore. Their overused words are meaningless. Always on the Obama phone bottom feeding liberal snowflakes.omg
    • All Trump needs to do is make an effort to acknowledge and distance himself from these things, which he could easily do since he's clearly not involved.monospaced
