Photoshop crashing… 1616 Responses

Whenever I start up PS (CS2) it crashes shortly after, without even opening a file - I've reinstalled but get the same thing… then I remembered that I was cleaning out some fonts at the weekend -could I have deleted a font PS needs?
What are the fonts PS requires to run properly?
Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

I've deleted preferences and all that jazz… still being a cunt.
I'm convinced it's a font issue but that doesn't get me too far :(

well, that something new may have been none of your doing. things just get corrupted sometimes.
i do recall there being a version cue problem that would take down ps shortly after launching. try launching bridge first and waiting a minute to launch ps.

Your best bet is to Crash back at Photoshop, and then ask it to stop being a little bitch. Or check the Pref

ok, well it's working for now (fingers crossed) - I changed the name of the twain plugin, basically adding a ~ at the front… seems to have done the trick… I hope
