Ok, I know this has been discussed to death, but it's been a while since (couple of months), and I'm wondering if there are any new "real world" users of this monitor. TN/VA debate, color washing out, etc. are all things I've read about this. But I've also read some really positive reviews. Any new users in the past couple of months? Any truth to the panel type? Some say TN, some say VA or S-IPS?

I like the height adjustment, the rotating ability. I do web work, no real intense color correction work. Suitable? Help me buy a monitor!

or any other recommendations? How about the 20" Dell Ultrasharp? Or other brands, too. Acer, Samsung, HP, there are too many monitors out there!

So is there some inconsistency in the production of the displays? I've been hearing so many 50/50 reviews, some love it, some hate it. Some say washed out colors, some say it's gorgeous. Some say that that because the 22" and 20" have same native resolution that the 22" looks a little funny. Any truth to this?

    • 22 is perfect for what you need! Why get 20 when you can get 22 for a bit more if not the same price?PSYKHO1/2
same native resolution. screen is bigger but you're not getting more screen estate.fourthgen2/2

    I've got a UltraSharp 2007WFP 20.1-inch. No problems here.

I use a Samsung at the office, and it pales in comparison.

    • ..and short of buying apple - I think dell make the best monitors these days.moth1/2
Cool, moth. Dell is what I'm leaning towards.elahon2/2

reviews and panel specs - http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/

I've got a 20" Dell 2005FPW (S-IPS) and I'm quite happy with it for what it cost years ago, was defenitely wiser choice than for eg Cinema Display...

TN panel means no for me. I recently chased an used 2007WFP on ebay because they switched to TN with the 2008WFP.

So does anyone know 100% that the US 2208WFP is indeed a TN? I've read varying reports.

    acescence, excellent link!
    Dell 3007WFP (*) (widescreen) has a 30 inch 14 ms S-IPS (LG.Philips LM300W01) panel ... same as 30" cinema display
