Don't be afraid to defy the QBN-like clique mentality and think for yourself.
Seriously: Think for yourself. Not for the sake of garnering attention or to be a "rebel," but to be able to break new ground when the opportunity presents itself. This applies to design and everything else in ones life. One of the beautiful things about design is that its values, like integrity, compassion, and self-respect, are interchangeable across many spectra of human existence.
Good question, ronin.

1. Spend more time with your loved ones than your work.
2. Be passionate for what you do.
3. Share your knowledge along the way.
