  (it needs imagery i know but i need chance to take photos for client for that to happen)
  also, right-hand column is for small banners that will promote the business's services- these are on their way.

  It's very basic. Almost like a template. I'm not sure the font / title header really works for the title of the company. But it's a start.

  There is way too much text on the home page, I shouldn't have to read so much to figure what I am looking at. Too much info.
  Take a look at what the competition web sites look like. It looks very blog like right now. Bottom line is, that it's very boring.

  Ooft, I'd do 'something' with that header graphic.

  Either tidy it up, so the colours are within the lines (remember colouring by numbers? :), and make it look CLEAN. Get some different stroke weights in, make more of that little-used dark grey shade, as a 50% shadow detail across the colours (with, perhaps an opposing 50% white shade for the hilight on the black colour blocks).

  ..Or muss it up more - I can see what effect you're going for, but you're not hitting it at all - you need to have the colour areas being less rigid and so formally 'outwith the lines'. Also, I'm not sure it works with the single-weight, clean and thin stroke you've used - I'd expect it to look more hand-made.

  It looks so generic that I could've even muster the energy to read the menu headings. This reminds me of what Truman Capote said about Jack Kerouac's 'On the Road' – That not writing, thats typing.
