  weren't he a wisecracking, annoying jerk?

  what's wrong with ryan reynolds? seems a perfect fit. the problem with deadpool is no one knows who he is, so right out of the gate you know this will be a B-movie. it will have a amateur director who makes stupid decisions and will have "straight-to-video" written all over it.

  though it would almost certainly have to be better than daredevil, which is i think, the worst superhero movie i've ever seen.

  Deadpool is supposed to be like, horrifying. Under the mask, that is. His skin is always dying, and the only thing keeping him remotely "human" looking is his healing factor. So, imagine a corpse with skin regrowing over rapidly dying skin at all times. With a fucking crazy voice that no one can describe.

  7.34, I think fans are more upset about Deadpool's costume than anything else. He's supposed to have a mask, at the very least.

  Gavin Hood (director) seems decent, and Hugh Jackman is producing. I think it could be entertaining.

  After the first Spiderman movie, i realized that i needed to let go of any reliance on the original stories from the comic books (The web being part of his superpower, rather than coming from mechanical devices that Peter made). And while the Wolverine movie looks good, it looks like it may require quite a bit of un-clenching as well

  Hahah, 7.34 - I was down in Tampa for Halloween a few years ago and I was walking into this bar and I just go ... "HOLY SHIT DEADPOOL!"

  This guy had dressed up like Deadpool, complete with mask and everything and I walked over to him and told him how much I liked it. To which he told me I was the only person who got his costume outside of his one friend, and that nobody has any idea who he is. I told him if people who don't know who the Merc with a Mouth is Wade Motherfucking Wilson, that he didn't want to know them.

  We talked for awhile about comics until I realized I was at a Halloween Party at an outside bar dressed up like George Michaels from his WHAM! days talking about comic books, and how I better distance myself as much as possible from that fucking nerd pronto, haha.

  Also, Deadpool was batshit crazy when he first started but he is still fucking awesome. I really like whenever him and Spider-Man are together because they don't stop cracking jokes, and making wisecracks one after the other.

  Deadpool turned into one of my favourite characters with Cable & Deadpool and word is he was possibly going to join X-Force (may be wrong) but is getting his own series again in the Fall.

  Deadpool didn't always have a mangled face, which is probably how they are going to introduce him via Ryan Reynolds looking humanesque and then in his own movie they'll go into his transformation.

  Word doing the rounds is that Wade Wilson/Deadpool, as Flavourful said, is gonna get his own movie which goes into his own Weapon X experiment.
  I dunno, they might incorporate it into this movie, but either or (and this coming from a huge fan of Deadpool) casting Reynolds was a stroke of genius because I've pictured him as my 'dream Deadpool' since Blade Trinity.
  People should lay off the costume though. I'm sure he will be disfigured and don the mask at some stage. And I remember back in when X Men 1 was coming out, the fanboys were running amok and having conniptions because (a) Wolverine was being played by a 6ft plus Aussie and (b) he wouldn't have his signature X Men costume...and did they eat their words.
