I was riding the bus today, reading my book and minding my own business during a half-hour trip downtown, when I shifted my eyes up toward the sorta cute, artsy girl across the way from me and noticed she had her sketch pad out and was drawing something.
Still reading my book I glance up again once or twice more and notice that she's drawing me. I had been sitting unmoving reading my book that I had become someone's still life subject. Not long ago I too was an art student, guilty of having drawn strangers on long bus rides.
So I held the pose and made sure I would remain in it as long as she needed.
