Two Catalogues. One is 20 pages. Other is 30. Product is sunglasses. Deadline: Both complete by end of August. I would like to do a flat rate on this instead of a hourly or by page. Could use some help in gauging a range. Much appreciated.

good luck. figuring out what to quote is half the job.

estimate a cost but always bill hourly, just incase. and billing per page is just wrong.

    $10k for the 20, $13k for 30

    • Those are agency prices.jteore1/2
not really.. depends how much design, photo editing, etc is involved.horton2/2

Im thinking: 2500 for 20 pages. 3500 for 30 pages. Not including: Mock Up Expenses, Vendor handling, Proofreading Content, Purchasing Imagery.

    • much too cheap, even for a small fresh-outta-college freelance job.horton1/4
but a lot depends on the project and how much design is involved...horton2/4
this looks like a price for a basic single page design and then dropping images and text into the template.horton3/4
that price does look like maybe just some simple typesetting, try to get more.capn_ron4/4

That is a lot of work, so make it a price you'll be happy with or else you are going to be pissed. Ask for more and you'll be happy. Don't underbid just to make them happy. They want you to do it for free.

Maybe bunch them together and try to get $10,000.

$10k = £5k – hmmm seems on the low side. It is a lot of work.

Are you charging a print handling fee?
