I prefer the sound track to 24/7 if you're talking Shane Medows films. Turned me on to a band I'd not heard of before - Sunhouse.

Not talking music here, but as for sound within films, Lynch is amazing - Inland Empire has amazingly spooky and subtle sound.
So many directors don't seem to have much of a clue about sound.
