This morning we had to have our dearest dog Bully put to sleep. He went peacefully, as Holly and I held him and kept him calm.
He was diagnosed with intestinal lymphoma a little over a month ago, and though he was a trooper, he just couldn't go on any longer. His suffering became apparent this weekend, so we knew it was time. He was a best friend and will be missed more than can be expressed in words. We are hoping that this isn't too difficult for Bruno; Bully's older brother, and are trying to shower him with all love and attention we can give, but it's been hard today.Ten years is a long time, but not long enough.
You will be missed B.

Thank you all for your kind words. Family and friends always looked forward to our family pictures. 'The boys' always had those humiliated expressions in our pics, but were always good sports. Believe it or not, they didn't mind the mittens last year. :)
I apologize if my post sounded like I was 'fishing for sympathy' - We're just still very emotional about it, and writing that post was somewhat cathartic. Thanks again everyone, I know this will get easier, he was just so special to us.
Trent
