My favorite DJs are all hip hop DJs...
DJ Cash Money
DJ A-trak
DJ Qbert
Rob Swift
DJ Premiere
etc.
etc.
etc.

My favorite Djs are those who play a lot of their own (produced) tracks, if the music is good, I will like it! I care not for technique or mediums. Thats what makes them stand out from the rest.
If its just a guy playing mixing other people's records, Its all on the tunes being played, I like the music? you are in, I don't then I won't come back, I dont care how many records you own, or experience.
pretty simple

i think the same.
The best dj's are the hip hop dj's.
They are more skilled.
But the "electronic music" diskjockeys can stay hours and hours playing melodies and ryhtms more than scratchers.
Have you ever seen a 3 hours set of a hiphop dj?
One time i saw Dj Qbert , and he played only 40 minutes.
Just an opinion

ah yeh, that nathan fake piece is great...
I would have to say the dj to whom I have had the best dancefloor experiences are Andrew Weatherall, Paul Edge and Laurent Garnier..
