has anyone ever heard of anyone using this in any type of work setting? has anyone ever been required to know how to use the software?

Almost did but I talked them out of it thankfully.

Using expression is a bit like having sex with a man.

checked it out briefly, it's not as bad as i had assumed it was. kind of dreamweaver-esque but only supports asp.net for the server end of stuff. the funny thing is that it claims to be standards compliant- standards that their own browser doesn't fully support. it's windows only though.

Other people at my team use it to build the front end to software. While it has issues, it seems like it's heading in the right direction. As for Designer, that still annoys me, and we still use Illustrator for many areas. A few people use Designer to help create work to pass to Blend.
