  Am I the only one who thinks the album "Some Cities" is one of the best recent pop rock album?

  I can listen to this as much as "Heaven or Las Vegas" by Cocteau Twins without getting bored, wich is pretty incredible, because I've listened to that record ALOT.

  Everything on "Some Cities" is great: the songs, the production, the sleeve design, etc. Its definitely a full package.

  I'll back that up. Some Cities has a really good flow to it, really good production sound overall as well. Not many albums have a similar sound to it. Not sure how to describe it, but, well, that's all i can say.

  I'm surprised you all are impressed by the production. I'm cool with the music, but it sounds like a muddy mess. It just seems really poorly mixed to me. No one else?

  A good album from a good band.
  Little known (?) fact... Lost Souls was done being recorded, and then the studio burned down with the master reels in it! So they had to re-record the entire thing!

  If you like the Doves I find Elbow similar. Personally I think their new album, the seldom seen kid, is way better that anything the Doves have done.

  I agreee. Solid album. 'One of these Days' is an awesome track.

  I used to like some Elbow stuff, but that geezers dreary vocals put me off. An acquired taste, maybe. Or he just IS the most miserable guy on the planet.
