Whats this???? another freelance thread!!!
I have the opportunity to do some freelance work for a company out side the U.S. I really dont know how to go about doing this.
- What are the things I need to look out for?
- What rights do I have if something goes wrong?
- Are my contracts still valid?
- Whats the best way to get paid?
- How will I be taxed and how do I go about reporting it?Thats about all I can think of right now...
Any advice is appreciated.
(I did a filter search but the info. was a bit weak)

Keep in mind that you have nooooooo way to get payment out of them if they want to screw you. So, definitely collect a deposit and do not launch/print anything without final payment. I did work for a company in Australia once... once.

Ask your tax man. More reliable than a guy named after a video game character.

I worked for a job abroad, ... my lawyer made a contract with 70% deposit... if they are serious they will pay it

Cool thanks for the advice.
The Design studio is in Mexico, they also own a successful apparel company that they would like help with.
I will be talking to my tax guy today. I'm still unsure about the payment stuff, they don't seem like a company to rip someone off but I always like to have my ass covered. (like most people)

Oh good. I thought you were going to say it was in Canada. Don't trust those Canadians. They're shifty.
