anyone use this for navigation and any pitfalls? Looks clean but having trouble "seeing" it work since I'm generally code-thick.
suggestions? sites? kick-in-the pants?

I found it a bit awkward to set up so I used Mootools for a site I did recently. I am also, as you described, a bit code-thick and couldn't get my head around it. But heres the one i did with Mootools, see nav on the right or highlighted buttons in the text:

you used the accordian panel and it looks pretty straightforward. any issue with width?
- On the mootools one, no you just set the width of a container div to hold another div with the menu content.ian

Here is a site I build and I used a jquery menu. It turned out pretty slick.
- horizontal accodian which was tough. Most tutorials are for vertical.sherman
