Ever have problems opening a flash mac file on a pc? The file is about 133mb, and another is 475mb. I know it's huge. The last designer working on it had 2 gigs on her mac, and now I can't open it on this pc with 3 gigs of memory? What's the deal?

make sure the file has the extension .fla and that you have the same version of flash. If you see unexpected file format, then it's from a newer version of flash then what you have.

We're both using CS3, and I just added the .fla extension. For some reason it's crashing flash.

    • probably because the file is so damn huge. seriously.lvl_131/2

Hopefully it's corrupted as I can't even open the 133mb file. Yeah, I know it's a fat ass file.

BTW, this is for a presentation and exported as a .exe file. What methods do you recommend in loading the other galleries externally?

How big is the SWF it publishes? I'm thinking... too big.

Load all that stuff in from external files. The massive size of the FLA is almost definitely causing Flash to crash. The Mac version is obviously more tolerant of huge-ass files.
