Nice photograps, what do you shoot with?

Thanks, I shoot mainly with a Canon 20D, some stuff is with Canon Mark IIN and my film stuff with the old school Pentax K1000.

Nice, One thing I think would be nice is some captions with the photos, even if its just the persons name in the portraits etc. Also I thing the grungy background isnt grungy enough and the background image repeats too quickly showing a uniform pattern. Have you thought about a background with more texture? Lots of free photoshop grungy brushes on bittbox.com under freebies.
You photos though are really interesting. Im still going through them.

i dont like caption most of the time, especially when most of the time they are strangers. I agree about the background, I didnt want to go too grundgy. Ill make a new one.

bueno para la tierra. you appear to have good control over your camera: composition, lighting & tone levels, appropriate usage of vignetting, and landscape photos.

i wish more of your images were able to be ffffound like ffffound.com. you got some really great narratives that more people would find inspiring.

Wow! You've really nailed that depressing squalor thing!

What filter are you using on the LA nightshots? Specifically how you get the burst effect on the light sources. Looks cool, man.

No filter on the LA night stuff just a tripod and my 17-40mm lens with the shutter open for like 5 seconds. I added some film grain, but nothing else.

I have a 17-40 too, does give excellent star burst effect on the lights. Its quite flare resistant as well.

Nice photos, great content and composition.
My only comment is that most of the photos look very flat, not much tonal depth. Maybe that's the style you're going for, I personally prefer more contrast and colour saturation.
