when I'm isolating something, say with the polygonal lasso tool, and i want to undo the last point, not the last selection, just the last point i added. Like ctrl-z but on a more atomic level... because its frustrating when i screw something up and most of my path selection goes to waste. Does that make sense?

Why don't you use the pen-tool instead. After you isolated the object make the path a selection.

i dunno but thats why i'd rather use the pen tool most of the time.
i only use the lasso for quick selections.

yeah, ive used the pen tool to make paths, but I'm lazy and kind of stick to my old ways. Always found this quicker and mindless.
