Uhm ... unless you work on the beach. Yea, shorts on dudes does not scream professional.
What's next sweat pants?

As long as they aren't so short your vag sticks out, they should be OK.

Wow AndyRoss, and I mean like "slow down, wow," not "AMAZING! WOW!"

ive worn shorts many times. if women can wear skirts why cant we wear shorts! or skirts!? talk about equal rights...

Also, if your life sucks ... why go out of your way to make it suck more?
Are you wearing these shorts so people ask you why and then you can bore them to death with your problems?

no my vag is in place.they are long shorts. below teh knee.

Depends on where you work. I'm guessing the design industry is a bit more lax with the dress code.
I work in/for the government, so shorts would be weird. Even jeans are probably not recommended, but I wear them anyway.

menos, you have to also look at the history of skirts vs. shorts.
Skirts are seen as "professional" whereas shorts are not. I see your point, but when someone says "skirt in the office", I immediately think of a specific style. When someone says "shorts in the office", I picture cargo shorts or something for the beach. People aren't used to picturing some "professional"-looking shorts for the office. At least I don't believe so.

Any quality, self respecting creative company shouldn't have a problem with shorts.
It's not about how you look as it is the work you produce.

(Nov 13 07, 12:35)This is your first post? Did you realize how monumentally insane that was to type so you created a new name for it, haha?
What country are you living in, that the opinion holds any particular weight.
Everything is based on looks, and if it's not - the person in question is not in the highest position they can possibly be in.
Where would the pharmaceutical sales industry be if they followed your crock of shit, haha.

* as an example.

nothing says professional like the abiltity to get fucked without moving or removing a thing about your outfit
skirts are acceptable at work because stereotypically guys run the show and aren't always working
and they want that possibility of a chance
professional women wear pant suits
