  I was just there for 10 days, and I have to agree with a previous comment that you should walk and walk and walk.

  Some of my highlights were:
  - MoMA
  - The Met
  - Natural History Museum
  - Whitney Museum of American Art
  - The Gagosian Gallery
  - Street Performers in the squares around NYC
  - A broadway show that appeals to you (don't buy your tickets from a broker, they're a ripoff)
  - 5th Avenue just for the amazing shops
  - Empire State
  - Central Park
  - Staten Island Ferry (go for the shorter cruise, the long one is toooo much)
  - Kickass clothing stores in SoHo (Lafayette, Bleecker, Broadway etc)

  do things that new yorkers do that the tourists never think of doing...

  nyc has the best lobbies in the world!! just walk in and out of them...goto the top of the GE building for a skyview of midtown.

  do the museums another trip, enjoy the city!! try some new foods new cultures..

  goto forbidden planet [comic book store] 2 floors Union Square.

  goto TOYS R US it has Roller Coasters inside the building!!

  go find some break dancers in the subways!!

  eat a hotdog from the street vendors...try to visit the NYC SKYLINES!! PLENTY OF ROOFTOP BARS!!

  crash some other hotels, find something your city dont have and take a picture of it.

  Good call e-pill, I would have to say the most exciting and best things that happened to me in NYC were the things that I just happened across by accident.

  Oh yeah, and unless it's really really really good, don't eat in the same place twice :)
