OK, so I have bought the plane tickets for my first trip to vegas, now I need to reserve the room. Any suggestions? good discount sites? etc... Money is an issue, would like to get as much as possible for less as possible, I know shocker. Going in August for 4 nights.
Or any good stories?

in august?
rates should be a bit cheaper because scientifically speaking, it's hot as a mother fucker there in august.
as for hotels, really you need to think about what you're there for...
a. the perks of a hotel. pool. how nice the rooms are. service. clubs in the hotel.
b. realize a room in vegas is only good for 3 things.
1. to sleep in (about 3 hours a night). preferably not alone.
2. a place to hold your clothes
3. shower your ballsso. if b is your choice i never really care where i stay.
flamingo. ballys. monte carlo. i don't care...
now... since it's your first time i would suggest maybe going with a better hotel to help your vegas experience.
i'd say ny ny but there pool is absolute shit. it was really an afterthought when they built the place. it's horrible.
mgm is really my favorite place to stay. the rooms are reasonable, the pool(s) are unreal and there is a food court in the place so you don't have to walk far for cheap eats. it's casino is really nice and it's kinda at the center of the strip.
when it's summer in vegas i stay at the mgm for their pool/location.
in november or march when i go i could give a rats ass where i stay and it's usually ballys, flamingo, treasure island (never, ever, ever, stay there).
good luck man and hit up point5 when you go.

also, if you got time and transportation peep the vegas sign graveyard:
http://www.roadsidepeek.com/road…you can give them a $50 donation (the building of the people that run it is a couple blocks from the actual place though just as an fyi) and they will let you into the fence and give you a tour. it's small but amazing if you like to shoot photos.

I met Mike Tyson at the Spearmint Rhino at 8am. Legs and eggs.

I might be going end of June and definitely the first weekend in August.
Roomie's b-day is June 28th, and his uncle's exwife is a former Bunny (like in her 40's now) and is hooking us up at the Palms. We're also having a contest to see who she'll take home...
Then August 3rd is a bachelor weekend.
I think I'll need to take out a loan or sell myself. Any buyers?
