Gentle Jones is the future. There isnt any logical way that i could fully translate the movement that Gentle Jones embodies. ‘I invented the internet’ he says candidly. This is the first rapper that i met through a website {called HipHop Infinity which is now extinct}! Of course he wasn’t the only rapper on earth selling his stuff online, but he was the only one posting his stuff on message boards, sending emails out w/ his mp3 dot com link etc. Now he’s recording video of his show that he is performing in, that he also promoted and booked himself like he also did and has a rep for at the EastEnd Cafe out by the University in Newark. He also had his cd’s for sale that he recorded and engineered himself, does some of the artwork and prints them out all whilst raising a child, holding down a 9-5 and keeping his wife happy. Plus he knows every skateboarder that was ever created. & he knows the secret history about ’streetwear’ culture. Gentle Jones not only exemplifies multi-discipline, he also shows how a regular guy shines by just being a gentleman. Cheers.
