UFO Over LA

OK first of all am not nuts. The wife and i were walking our friends dogs on sunday around 730pm (in Burbank, CA), when she said "hey whats that?" so i look up and there is this orange ball in the sky, sloooowly moving towards us. I thought it was a plane cause we are near the airport, but it was moving in a odd way, wobbling left and right and slowing up and speeding up. Then it just stopped in the sky and stayed there for about 30 seconds, when it just started to fade away slowly. all this lasted like 1-2 minutes. I know im setting up myself up for ridicule, but did anyone else see it?

you don't sound stupid because pilots have seen way better and their radio reports are on tape.

you should take a look into it, tell the cops or ask about other reports or something...not that that info is easy to get hold of or anything. could also be some natural thing or even a helicopter if you're near an airport,...but you saw what you saw

no camera... it was freaky. Don't know where else to post, but i know we weren't the only ones out of millions of people here to see it.

If it moved slowly and wobbled lazily around then it was could have been ball-lightning.
Ball-lightning has been linked with tectonic stresses, which is odd, because there have been warnings of a possible huge earthquake in Vancouver - if you're getting ball-lightning down where you are.. oh boy, that could be one HUGE earthquake.
