another great episode indeed!!
pski... naaah... that would ruin it if he were the killer... don't you think?
Meh... I guess I just don't want him to be... that would be a 'lame' cop-out...
What I really love is how they're really focusing on the other characters now (the cop who slept w/the other cop's sister... the Puerto Rican fella too... especially his story last night... the whole time you think he's this silly dude w/'bad taste' in jewelry... but in the end you realize he's exceptionally humble and ashamed for whatever he did, and all he wants is his family back)...
... anyway... +5 for lastnight...
... two more thumbs up!

I think the Ice Truck killer is a cop or someone really close to Dexter and his work who would have time enough to get to know Dexter and know who he is...
.. cuz that is the big question - who's the Ice Truck killer and how the heck does he know who Dexter REALLY is?

yes, you can be. A lot of superheroes also kill people. Obviously it's different in Dexter's case because he HAS to kill in order to live, or at least he believes he does. Whereas many superheroes kill because they have to in order to protect innocent lives. It's nearly the same thing with Dexter (along with the childhood trauma), but add a lot of psychological stuff.

I thought he had to kill to collect samples of blood? Isn't he just a blood sample collector? You guys are making this WAY to philosophical.
I kid.

I was quoting a line I heard from next week's episode...
killing's wrong, mmgkay?

indeed.
I like the flashbacks too, they are informative, tho I'm having trouble deciding whether his foster Dad is a good role model, or a bad one.

he is him.
- Jaline0
okay, Ponyboy :)
well, whoever said that doesn't know what they're talking about...
- morilla0
he kills to protect people
- Jaline0
that's one reason, but he also does it because that's the only way he can channel his desire to kill.

...as taught by Harry, who didn't want Dexter to get into trouble.

good question there, dopepoper...
Dexter's step dad is indeed a 'loving man' for his and his own... but it's hard to judge him this early though as there isn't exactly a lot of info to be gained from the flashbacks thus far - except that Dexter's 'dad' realizes Dexter needs some serious special attention...
... due to his (step Dad) being a cop and seeing so much violence - you can almost understand why he took Dexter down this road...
... he's seen enough people in his time to realize who's fucked up... and who's evil... and he's trying to channel Dexter's 'fucked up' part... so it doesn't become 'evil'...
... what a mind trip!!
