  Hooray with iTunes 7 + new iPod software i get gapless playback on any songs i choose!

  Wow..
  It looks like it its not gappless for the ipod 5G. or maybe I'm doing something wrong?

  I can hear gapless transition on itunes, but I still hear a gap on the ipod, its closer yes, better yes, but there is still a gap there..

  I guess you need a new ipod G5.5, they only write about gapless in the new ipod description.

  did they fix the bullshit lag when you scroll across the progress bar on itunes and the sound is plugged into the stereo through airport.. that lag is for the birds

  You don't need the new iPod.

  I got the first 30GB video model, which has just been updated (i have no idea what generation that is) and gapless playback works fine on the songs i select.

  And for the guy who asked gapless playback is just that.

  The iPod + iTunes used to shove in a second or two gap between all tracks. This works fine unless you have concert or mix albums that require seemless playback.

  Apple have now given you the option to select gapless playback for certain combinations of tracks.

  so, did you need to update your ipod republik8? my itunes says i need a mac-formatted ipod to update. fuck it, I use mine as a portable drive, why would I want it to be mac-formatted?

  Ok, I just did an "Ipod restore"
  that should do it right? That is like starting from scratch, everything is uploaded again..

  I can still hear a gap on mixed CDs, and Live Concert ones, basically where you would notice a gap. I have an Ipod Video 5G (30gb) and I did noticed that the gap is not as ovbious but I can still hear it. Maybe its because I am listening to it in really good monitors?

  I don't buy it... its not fixed.
