so i haven't used cs2 much but am finding the illustrator save for web option is not working. at all. when ever i try and save at a certain width everything gets pixellated.
i've tried the following:
http://designorati.com/illustrat…now, it hasn't worked yet. i've deleted the AI 9.0 pref file, but not the 9.0 pref file (that isn't AI specific, don't wanna screw anything up).
anyone have any suggestions? should i delete both pref files or would that be a bad idea?
any help would be much appreciated.

what settings are you using? is this problem specific to a certain setting? does it occur no mater what your settings are? good god man, give us some background so we can get you the help you need.

upon default save for web, everything seems fine. but if i increase the size, say, up to 700 px wide (constraining proportions) no matter what format i'm saving in, there is always severe text distortion (pixellation along the lines of ... well, here)
this is an example, 100% "quality" .jpg
see how bad that text is? that shouldn't be happening. most everything is default, working in cmyk on this particular one but it hasn't mattered so far.

do your resize to the actual artwork, before you enter the save for web dialog. increasing the size there only increases the output size, not the sample isze.

no, i resize in the save for web dialogue box, just to get the pixel width right for uploading to a template. it's just that it didn't happen on cs1 on my PC, so i'm mystified as to this problem.

i've always resized the art prior to entering the save for web dialog. try it and maybe your troubles will end.
