Is playin' here in Minneapolis tonight! Workin' with a piece entitled: "Rebirth of a Nation." Has anyone seen/heard of this before?
Nothin' like examining the current state of racism here in the "us of A," no?

I saw it at the CAMH this past year. I thought the concept was nice but the execution didn't do much for me. It's the kinda piece you see and go "Huh, how about that." not "OMG!!!"

what i saw was decent, not OMG but had nice, nice audio.
but my ears were too sensitive and it was too loud and my arms got tired from holding them up to close my ears (it sounded decent again to).
but he said some coolish things at the beginning. i never heard of using dj technique with film. but now I have.
he also said something about opensource film on his web site (thanks for the links jco).
eye guess that's it. time to close my eyes and listen to ...

i saw that last year over at Harvard's Sanders Theatre.
I was the same way, it was 'huh, how about that, interesting", but mostly because i hadn't seen the "Birth of Nation" film before, which is crazy racist. I actually fell asleep for part of the performance, and i don't usually do that. It was defenitely overhyped for my taste, but still worth a viewing, i guess.
