$520 million, that's a lot of money...
btw, shellie, can you be my friendster buddy? hehhe
- shellie0
fuck it. i'd sell for that kind of dough in a heartbeat. that's what anybody would want to do if you went through all that effort to poise the project to be sold.
if the users don't like whatever changes that happen, they can find the next new myspace and use that instead... there's not much discussion to be had there, right?

I'm a happy myspace user. Friendster is a clusterfuck and it's only getting worse.
Myspace is awesome (IMHO). I've been able to connect with people I meet at parties and through friends without having to give them my phone number or email address to them right away (just in case). It's a lovely communication tool.

so why is myspace more popular than friendster?
- tkmeister0
i am so behind on this myspace or friendster whatever they are.
i'll need to check out myspace.

why exactly do we such communities again?
- Mimio0
I bet they have 100's of milllions of dollar$ in loans to pay off first.

i tried starting a site called konasbonerster and it went limp

friendster doesn't function very well. It's slow. The design is really messy. The way ads are integrated in is just annoying. Every added feature feels like "oh yes, let's put this here"
a load of developers, no project planning... doesnt seem like there was ever a use case made throughout the whole development process. As soon as I log in to that site, I want to close the window.

what the hell kOna. it would have been a big girthy hit.
- todelete__20
you would think but it just didn't work out like i had planned.
i got like 70 marriage proposals in the first day from dudes in asia
- shellie0
dinky.
- todelete__20
how did you know dinky asked me to marry him too?
was he spreading the word on myspace?
damn him!

Great. Not that I really care about my profile on Myspace, but the site really helps bands network and gain new fans. We've had some luck with it and attracted new fans through it.
But I know what this means: Soon enough there will be membership fees to join and while they will probably keep a free aspect, to use "specialized services" such as messaging, they will probably make you pay.
Classmates and Reunion.com were both free in the beginning, and now you have to be a member to even find an email address. Due to the desires for money, a good free service will eventually screw over the user, no matter what.

and thats when an alternative will be created. horrah.
- MrDinky0
i wanna make a site called horny asians.
non-asian men allowed, all girls welcome
- slinky0
there are already 1000s of alternatives right now.
i have done my research into the Social Networking sites...
And my investors and myself can not wait to add ours to the mix.

MySpace is also rumored to be working on a partnership with Napster....
like you really care, eh?
