hey r,
I stayed at these places a couple of weeks ago:

for this loft, you should be at least four persons, otherwise it'll get a bit pricey

I hope, they're still available! have fun!!!

I stayed at Gat Xino last summer, in Barrio Xino, a few minutes walk from La Rambla. The room had a flat screen tv(only spanish channels though), air condition and a nice bath. The girls in the reception was both very nice and pretty...

I just found a ticket from a nice, relativly cheap hotel I stayed at in 2001... it's called Hotel Cortes, it's real close to La Rambla and Placa Catalunya, in C/. Santa Ana 25.

you lucky bastard! FYI...there is a nice little town north of Barca if you want to unwind after the big city. Portbou...just a short train ride from Barca. Right on the water, beach bar (Antonios...it was there last two times i went).
There is a hostel, and there is also a hotel called La Masia, that has a huge tree growing out the center. To the left of the bay, about 300 yards away, is an area where people camp and sleep outside. There used to be a couple hammocks there.
Have GREAT time...post pics!
