    morning folks.
    my client just asked me to make them a ppt template. i have no idea how to do this as i do not use ppt, but wanted to see if anyone had any tips or tutes. i'm gonna go search around, but just wanted to seeif anyone had experience in this first....

    when i was asked to commit such an evil, i just "made" the file and saved as template.

    Made is in quotations because PPT sucks so much ass.

    There's not difference apart from the file extension as far as I can tell.

    Edit the slide master, and set a colour scheme. That's about it.

    i was asked to make a template. and i spent all weekend making it. on monday they told me it sucked ass. check the "bah!" thread for details.

    Actually, this couldn't be any easier with the proper plug-in. I used this last month, and it's as simple as importing a movie or sound file. Works like a charm. The plug in is available here...

    one more quick question:
    is there a universal dimension to design the bg of a ppt so that it doesn't look all shitte when you view the slide show? i thought i'd seen it here before but couldn't find with the search.

    go with a standard resolution like 1024 x 768. make it at 200 dpi and you'll be fine. that way it'll look good even when printed.
